Analysis the Effects of Lighting Design on Human Psychology in Conference Halls (Afyon Kocatepe University İbrahim Küçükkurt Conference Hall Example)

In this research, it is aimed to determine the effects of lighting design in conference rooms on human psychology. For this purpose, the Ibrahim Küçükkurt Conference Hall, located at Afyon Kocatepe University in Afyonkarahisar, was chosen. After examining the lighting design of the conference hall in detail, a questionnaire consisting of 40 questions to determine the effects of lighting design on human psychology was applied to 341 students using this conference room face to face. The answers given by the participants regarding the questionnaire; factor analysis, reliability analysis, percentage values, KMO test, Bartlett test and correlation analysis methods. Significant differences were found between the perceptions of lighting design on human psychology in conference rooms according to the participants' gender and educational status (p <0.05). According to the findings, it has been determined that lighting has a psychological effect on the audience.
