Parametric Design Process: Its Use in Interior Architecture Education and Practice

The development of technology and the digitization process have affected the education and practice of interior architecture. This study was carried out to determine the use of parametric design, one of the digital design approaches, in interior architecture education and practice. In this context, today's situation is tried to be revealed by giving examples from interior architecture education and practice. In the study, while seeing that the parametric design approach is applied in interior architecture practice, it is concluded that there is a limited number of places in the interior education curriculum in the national. Accordingly, it is thought that parametric design approach is needed in both interior architecture education and practice. It is suggested that theoretical knowledge and practice related to parametric design should be used together.
