A Proposal on the Use of Graphic Design Elements in Circulation Areas in High School Buildings
It was observed that high school students, who were in adolescence, were exhausted from the lesson, when they were sad or happy, by displaying their thoughts that they could not tell others by scribbling on the school walls and desks. The aim of this research is to help students express their feelings by using the graffiti elements in interior spaces, to help students express their feelings and to love the school so that students can express their feelings and thoughts in a comfortable way. In addition, it is thought that the decoration of the walls left inside and outside of the educational buildings with elements designed by students will strengthen students' sense of belonging to the space, at the same time, the educational structure will enable them to form their own identity and this experience will enable them to own the place where the students live. For this purpose, graffiti activities were carried out with 35 students studying in high school. After the activity, it was determined that high school students can overcome their negative behaviors with graffiti studies and the areas where graffiti can be done in schools are offered as suggestions. |
