Human Geography Approach of İlhan Tekeli and Evaluation of Its Effect on Space

 

This study evaluates the concept of human geography İlhan Tekeli argues which based on the absolute and relative space. The qualitative revolution that took place in the human geography formed during the enlightenment in the late 1950s and the multiple paradigms emerged effecting the formation of the space. The position of İlhan Tekeli in the transformation in the field of geography in the historical process and the epistemology it developed plays a decisive role. As a result, Tekeli is deemed to see that the transformation in geography is the reason for not understanding the change of knowledge in the field of social sciences as a result of deterministic spatial analysis and decisions.
