A Research on the Effect of Decoration on Space Consumption Preferences of Young People

 

It is important to understand the preferences of young people about space consumption and the effect of decoration on these preferences. Because in this way, it can be learned how the new generation is influenced by the consumption culture and how its decoration contributes to the consumption of space. Because decoration is an important force for the consumption of the space and the marketing of the space. In this study, Turkey's Kayseri province is about young people between the ages of 18-25. This study analyzed both perspectives and preferences against space consumption and decoration effect on space consumption. In this research, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods. Tables and graphs were used to present the results. Some results of the study are as follows; the priorities of the young people in Kayseri in terms of space consumption are mostly shaped around cafés and shopping malls. The environment of friends is the trigger factor for young people to prefer these places. In addition, the interior decoration of the space is an inviting element in attracting and spending time for young people. Natural light and soft tissues affect young people who want to get rid of the stresses of daily life in space. These elements also make young people feel happy by consuming these places. The design of the furniture on the young people in the space is very effective. It has been found that the unity and integrity of all design elements on young people are also very effective.
