The decisions taken for the intervention to the historical buildings which has the aim of maintenance, repair and restoration, are directly related to the history and historical changes of the buildings. For this reason, the criterion of originality in architectural preservation which is seen in the repair and restoration works and is the subject of national-international meetings has a great importance in terms of the historical value of the work and transferring the cultural heritage to the future along with its original values. The transfer of cultural assets to the future with their original values provides access to information and documents on many disciplines such as history, art, geology, chemistry, materials science, archeology, social anthropology and sociology as well as architecture. In this context, Konya İnce Minareli Madrasa, one of the valuable works of Anatolian Seljuk Period architecture, has been investigated in terms of the design and form in order to contribute to the transfer of the original values to the future. The “form” and “design” are the components of authenticity standarts according to the Nara Originality Certificate and the Article-82 of The Operational Guidelines for the Implementation of the World Heritage Convention. In this paper, visible surfaces are analyzed through the data obtained from research and on-site examination considering both form factor and criteria which are determined from design factor.
