Evaluation of Diyarbakır İçkale Museum Complex in terms of Post-Restoration Conservation

 

The best way to ensure conservation in historic buildings is to refunction the structure. In order to transfer the cultural assets to next generations, it is necessary to provide a function appropriate to the structures. It is aimed to preserve the authenticity of the structure and gain a place in the city life. The first area of Diyarbakir, “Amida Höyüğü” has also served as the administrative unit of the city for a long time. Nowadays, functions that have lost their function have been analyzed and the values added to the city by the architectural and social aspects have been analyzed. The aim of the study; restoration of the structure of the structure of the new function is to be evaluated within the limit of the concept of conservation. As a method; the concept of conservation, post-conservation evaluation, giving new functions to historical buildings, giving museum functions to historical buildings were examined and samples evaluated in this direction were examined.
