Creative Teaching Techniques in Art Education: Group and Collaboraion Study in Drawing Lessons
Art education is rendered possible with qualified art educators who are prescient, imaginative, proficient, innovative, creative, progressive and program developers. It is accepted that the educationalist individual who can get familiar with the students and direct them, convey his/her knowledge and remarks and lets students develop and find their own lines (etc.), improves the class quality and success. Alongside classic teaching methods in art education, student centric, solution oriented, contemporary and creative methods also should be involved. Being one of the fundamental classes of plastic arts, drawing is a class that envisages students to work as individuals. This study, however, approaches with the question “can drawing be conducted as a group” considering the educator is also a part of the group. It is aimed to depict the studies that are developed, in which exchanging of ideas, taking responsibility, defining the problems and coming up with solutions and remarks for them is emphasized, therefore steering the class away from monotony and providing a more active process. Group study methods conducted towards the aim, upsides they bring, student remarks and the resulting studies will be evaluated via qualitative research. |
