A Study on Determining Window Features of Medium-Quality Houses

In this research, it is aimed to determine the characteristics of residential windows such as parapet height, window opening type, locking system used and the participants' requests and satisfaction in this direction. For this purpose, Eryaman Kaya Evleri Sitesi apartment houses located in Eryaman District of Ankara were selected as the research environment. The evaluations of the participants living in the 2+1 and 3+1 houses investigated regarding the window features were determined with the help of a detailed questionnaire. As a result, it was determined that 98.7% of the residential windows investigated were not equipped with safety locks, a significant portion of the participants found the window parapet dimensions sufficient and safe, they wanted dual-function rotating + lowering sash and sliding sash on their windows, and again, half of the participants wanted safety locks on their windows.
