Effects on Students’ Perceptual Performance of the Densities of Drawing Table in Design Studios

In this study, it is aimed to determine the perceived quality of two modeled virtual design studios, which have the same characteristics but two different drawing table densities (30%, 40%). Accordingly, it is assumed that the drawing table densities of the virtual studio space models that are modeled may have an effect on the perceptual performanceof the students. To test the assumption a study were modeled the environments of two design studios with two different drawing table densities assumed to exist in a design studio at Selçuk University and students were asked to evaluate these virtual spaces with the aid of VR virtual reality goggle. Based on this assumption, each virtual space was tested by using semantic differential scale. As a result, it has been determined that the place with 30% drawing table density by the students is perceived more positively than the place with 40% drawing table density for all adjective pairs.
