Repetition in Search of a Difference and the Architect's 'D-Gene Pool': Tabanlıoğlu Architecture in the Case of Canopy Architecture
The along with advantages of the conflict that charasteristic styles which broken down in modern era; today, not the societies, the identities of buildings and architects are spoken. With the advent of developing technology into our lives, there is no longer ‘-ism’ notions but design experiences where ‘my style’ take center stage is in question. Based on the architecture has always contextualised with creativity, the expectation like being different is increased; but this situation also brought about imitation and repetition notions. Architecture is a mimetic discipline and during designing something, it is impossible not being impressed in such an era; the architect sometimes repeat and renew himself or sometimes impress another architect’s design. This study that centered on notion of repetition which is Zarzar’s d-gene pool; is discussed the architect’s repetition on relationship with context and experience about the creating his identity or worries not depriving himself, has been commentated on Cassirer’s notions of ‘representation’ and ‘symbol’. The architect’s establishing this dialogue with ‘place’ is examined canopy examples on Tabanlioglu Architecture which context or how correlate with. In the result of this study, repetitions with mutations are considered as a contextual tool when they were correlated ‘the place’. |
