The Use of Wood and Wood-Based Products as Flooring Materials in Building: An Evaluation on Applications

Wood has been an important building material thanks to its supreme properties. Furthermore, having easy production and processing operations and being an ecological material make wood an exclusive material. Therefore, improving the usage of wood as a building material is crucial. In this study, which aims to advance the usage of wood and wood-based products as a floor cladding, contemporary examples are investigated. The findings are criticized and interpreted with the aim of promoting the usage of wood and wood-based products as a floor cladding and improving the current usage.
