Examining Creativity and Game Concepts in Computer Aided Design Process

The field of 'computer', which is a discipline outside of architecture and has caused radical developments in the field of architecture with its effects, clearly makes its weight felt among the others. The field of computer is a field of theory and practice that includes many disciplines, from information engineering to information science and informatics, and has become a field of theory and practice that not only directs other disciplines but also daily life in the current sense. The information age can be considered as a period in which new expansions based on the dimension of 'information' in terms of practice and theory are experienced in the field of architecture, as in many other fields. In this context, the field of design in computer environment is important in terms of producing new methods and redefining the design process in terms of creativity. The aim of this study is to examine 'Creativity' in the field of Computer Environment Architectural Design and to consider the concept of 'Game' as a tool. The necessary literature was examined to define this field and the study was concluded with a game experiment. The following hypotheses that emerged as a result of the literature research were evaluated and their results were discussed: (i) The concept of creativity in the game can be redefined in the design process and help us understand the design process, (ii) The game can be used as a method in the design process, (iii) The design process in the computer environment can be combined with the concept of the game. Establishing the right balance between 'order and complexity' and 'complexity and playability' makes game development a design problem and is the focus of this study.
