New methods of expression in cinema: time lapse and slow motion techniques and the film Samsara (2011)

 

Time andnarrative in thecinemaconstitutes an integral whole.However, the development of digital technology has affected this relationship and allows the creation of new narrative techniques. Fiction cinema can be disrupted by linear time. High and low square frames made in the duringthe shooting practices can affect the narrative. In this study in documentary film making using time lapse and slow motion effects to the shooting technique was investigated expressive language.In this context, in his movies dialogue and no place for traditional narrative RonFricke and his latest film Samsara (2011) were analyzed.
