Sample Studies on the Relationship between Service Design and Service Design Use in Interior Design
In the interior design principle, which changes in parallel with technological developments, the user-oriented design approach is accepted as the starting point, and an experience-based design principle is applied with an efficient, aesthetic, user-friendly, holistic approach that is suitable for the perception and function of the space. Interior design and service design, which have common points on many floors, are widely used, interacting, and related design principles. Based on this relationship, the subject of the study was determined as the use of interior and service design principles together. The aim of this study is to identify the common points and potential connections of interior design and service design, and to answer the question of how these two design disciplines can be used together. In the literature review process, the service and interior design project stages and design processes were defined and the theoretical structure of the study was formed. Within the scope of the theoretical framework created, the projects realized by the experience offices, where designers from different fields of expertise work together, the service design approach is applied, and which produce creative solutions with a focus on user and experience, were examined through content analysis and observation. As a result of the analysis and evaluations, it has been concluded that it is possible to improve the service delivery process by making the space a continuation of the service by including the service design in the interior design projects. |
