Effects of Basic Design Course on Creative Thinking

Landscape architecture is one of the departments that focuses on design education. Teaching design and creative thinking is one of the important aims of this education. Thus, it can be ensured that the student can produce creative solutions to the design problem and gain aesthetic sensitivity in perceiving his environment. In this context, basic design education plays an important role in preparing the design student for the education process. Basic design education creates a theoretical infrastructure for the student to perceive his environment and especially to develop visual perception skills. Thus, students are taught to interpret what they see and to choose the aesthetic one among what they see. Therefore, study; It is designed in terms of the relationship between design education and basic design course in landscape architecture and creative thinking.
