An Overview of Excavation, Project and Conservation Works for Migre (Dere) Hammam in Muş City Center

Registrated Migren (Dere) Hammam which is located in Muş city center is quite different than provincial, regional and Anatolian classical hammam architectures in terms of plan, location and building materials. Subject hammam's current situation is observed, conservational scientific excavation is done and application projects are ready. Observations and proposed solutions are scrutinized in detail in order to switch the hammam's disadvantaged structural position in its current location to an advantageous one, determining risky Dere Stream's changeable flow trait, danger of landslide and structural and geological problems. Reclamation of the Dere Stream, conservation of the hammam, landscaping and usage after renovation are evaluated in pursuant of scientific Art History and Architectural History's occupational disciplinary methodology, using technical data that came out as a result of searches. Culture and tourism of the region, particularly Muş city will be provided important achievements with actualizing prepared Migren (Dere) Hammam application projects.
