Görme Engellilerin Konutlarının İç Mekân ve Mobilyalarına Yönelik Sorunlar ve Çözümlerin Belirlenmesi

ÖZET Bu araştırmada belirli oranlarda veya tamamen, doğuştan veya sonradan görme engelli bireylerin konutlarında mevcut durumun tespiti ve günlük yaşamlarını kolaylaştıracak buldukları çözümlerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma mevcut literatürün aksine öneri yapmaktan öteye giderek mevcut durumu belirlemeye ve görüşme yöntemiyle bulunan çözümlerin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla literatür taraması yapılarak antre, mutfak, banyo, tuvalet, salon ve yatak odası iç mekan ve mobilyalarının değerlendirilmesine yönelik bir anket oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan anket Afyonkarahisar ve Eskişehir’de belirli oranlarda veya tamamen, doğuştan veya sonradan görme engelli toplam 72 görme engelli bireyle görüşülerek uygulanmıştır. Sonuçta; tüm mekânlarda mekan darlığının kullanımda problem oluşturduğu, özellikle mutfaklarda ve diğer mekanlarda kişiye özel tasarımlar geliştirilmesi gerektiği belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca; tüm mekânlarda yer alan mobilyalarda devrilme, çekmecelerde yerinden çıkma, çekmeceler açıkken ve doluyken dolabın devrilmesi gibi beklenmedik tehlikelerle karşılaşılmaması için mobilya mühendislik hesaplarının çok özenli yapılması ve mobilyaların iç mekânda bireylerin rahat kullanabilecekleri uygun yerlere yerleştirilmesi son derece önemlidir. Tasarımlarda evde yer alan gören bireyin de kullanmakta zorlanmayacağı kullanışlı tasarımlara yer verilmelidir. ABSTRACT In this study, it is aimed to determine the current situation in the residences of individuals with visual impairment or at a certain rate, either naturally or later, and to determine the solutions they find that will facilitate their daily lives. The research was conducted to determine the current situation and to determine the solutions found through the interview method, rather than making suggestions, contrary to the existing literature. For this purpose, a questionnaire was created for the evaluation of the interior and furniture of the doorway, kitchen, bathroom, toilet, living room and bedroom by searching the literature. The created questionnaire was applied in Afyonkarahisar and Eskişehir at certain rates or totally, by interviewing 72 visually impaired individuals, either congenitally or later. After all; It has been determined that the shortage of space in all spaces creates problems, and special designs should be developed especially in kitchens and other spaces. Also; It is very important to carry out furniture engineering calculations and place the furniture in suitable places where individuals can use comfortably in order to avoid unexpected hazards such as tipping in furniture in all places, displacement in drawers, tipping of the cabinet when the drawers are open and full. Useful designs should be included in the designs that the individual who sees in the house will not have difficulty using it.
