Kentsel Dönüşüm Alanlarında Koruma Yaklaşımlarını Adana Döşeme Mahallesi Örneği Üzerinden İrdelemek

ÖZET Bu çalışma, kültür mirası barındıran alanlarda kentsel dönüşüm çalışmalarının nasıl olması gerektiğine, Adana-Seyhan Döşeme Mahallesi örneği üzerinden cevap aramaya çalışmıştır. Döşeme Mahallesi, kentsel dönüşüm alanı ilan edilmesi ile başlayan sürecinde, barındırdığı kültürel değerler ile birlikte yok olma tehlikesi ile karşı karşıya kalmıştır. Alanda kültür mirası niteliğindeki fiziki yapılaşma ile birlikte kentsel kimlik, kentsel bellek ve bunların önemi ile bu kavramların kentsel dönüşüm olgusuyla olan bağı, kentsel dönüşüm alanı olan Döşeme Mahallesi üzerinden açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışma, Döşeme Mahallesi’nin çevresi ile birlikte incelendiği, kavramsal olduğu kadar fiziki alana da yönelik bir saha çalışması niteliğindedir. Araştırma kapsamında alanın sorunları ve potansiyelleri tespit edilmiş, uygulanması düşünülen kentsel dönüşüm proje tasarısının SWOT analizi yapılmıştır. Alanda yaşayanlar ile görüşülmüş, kullanıcıların mekâna bakış açıları, yaşayış biçimleri, sorun ve önerilerine ilişkin tespitler yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler değerlendirilmiş, bu bağlamda öneriler geliştirilmiş ve kentsel dönüşüm uygulaması kapsamında kültürel değerleri korumanın nasıl ele alınacağı ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Examining Conservation Approaches in Urban Transformation Areas on the Case of Adana Döşeme Neighborhood ABSTRACT This study tried to find answers to how urban renewal (transformation) implementations should be done in areas with cultural heritage, through the example of Adana-Seyhan Döşeme Mahallesi. In the process that started with the declaration of an urban renewal area, Döşeme neighborhood faced the danger of extinction with its cultural values. Along with the physical structuring in the area of cultural heritage, urban identity, urban memory and their importance and the connection of these concepts with the phenomenon of urban renewal have been tried to be explained through the Döşeme Mahallesi, which is an urban renewal area. The study is a field study in which the Döşeme Mahallesi and its surroundings are examined together with the conceptual as well as the physical area. Within the scope of the research, the problems and potentials of the area were determined, and a SWOT analysis of the urban renewal project that was planned to be implemented was made. Interviews were made with the people living in the area, and determinations were made regarding the users' perspectives, lifestyles, problems and suggestions. The data obtained were evaluated, suggestions were developed in this context and it was tried to reveal how to protect cultural values within the scope of urban renewal implementations. .
