El Aman Kervansarayı’nın Yeniden İşlevlendirme Açısından Değerlendirilmesi ve Tasarım Önerileri

ÖZET Yeniden işlevlendirilen tarihi yapılarda önerilen yeni fonksiyonun mekânsal olanakları ve yeni işlevin sürdürülebilirliği dengesinin sağlanamaması koruma çabalarının başarısızlıkla sonuçlanmasına neden olmaktadır. Bu nedenle araştırma kapsamında hedeflenen temel amaç, tarihi yapıların yeniden işlevlendirilmesi kapsamında belirlenen yeni fonksiyonun işlevsel açıdan yapıyla olan adaptasyonunun örnek bir tarihi yapı seçilerek değerlendirilmesi ve ulaşılan sonuçlar ışığında iç mimarlık disiplini çerçevesinde yeni bir öneri sunmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, günümüzde sıklıkla yeniden işlevlendirme çalışmaları gerçekleştirilen ve farklı fonksiyonlarla kullanıma açılan yapı tiplerinden olan bir kervansaray ele alınmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında alanda eskizler çizilmiş, ölçümler, sistematik fotoğraflama, kurum ve kuruluşlarla görüşmeler ve literatür taraması yapılmıştır. Yerel kurumlardan temin edilen yapıya ait paftalar, planlar ve analizler değerlendirilerek kervansarayın geçmişteki ve günümüzdeki mevcut durumu ortaya konulmuştur. Yapılan değerlendirmeler çerçevesinde yeni bir fonksiyon önerilmiş ayrıca bu fonksiyonun ihtiyaçları kapsamındaki hareketli mobilya önerileri üç boyutlu olarak görselleştirilmiştir. Tarihi yapıların mekânsal ve yapısal özellikleri korumaya yönelik müdahaleler sayesinde fiziksel varlıklarını sürdürebilirler, bununla birlikte kullanılarak korundukları durumlarda gelecekte olabilecek büyük hasarlar önlenebilmekte veya sınırlandırılabilmektedir. Tarihi yapıların yeniden işlevlendirilmesinde, yapıya yüklenen yeni fonksiyonu ve onun için geliştirilen iç mekân donatıları yapıların korunmasına yönelik müdahaleleri ve geliştirilen önerileri nitelik ve nicelik bakımından etkilemektedir. Tarihi yapılara önerilen yeni fonksiyonların sürdürülebilir olması yapının varlığının devamlılığı açısından önemlidir. Zaman içinde değişen her yeni fonksiyon önerileri yapıda yeni yüklere ve yeni değişikliklere sebep olmaktadır. Ayrıca, uygulanacak çözümlerin hem yeni işlevin ihtiyaçlarını karşılayacak hem de kültürel mirasa zarar vermeyecek nitelikte uyumlu ve dönüştürülebilir olması gerekmektedir. Evaluating Adaptive Re-Use and New Design Proposals of El Aman Kervansaray ABSTRACT Failure to balance the spatial possibilities of the new function proposed in the re-functionalized historical buildings and the sustainability of the new function causes the conservation efforts to fail. For this reason, the main purpose of the research is to evaluate the adaptation of the new function determined within the scope of the re-functioning of historical buildings by selecting an exemplary historical building and to present a new proposal within the framework of the interior architecture discipline in the light of the results obtained. For this purpose, a caravanserai, which is one of the building types that is frequently re-functionalized and opened to use with different functions, is discussed. Within the scope of the study, sketches were drawn, measurements, systematic photography, interviews with institutions and organizations and literature review were carried out. The past and present situation of the caravanserai was revealed by evaluating the maps, plans and analyzes obtained from local institutions. Within the framework of the evaluations made, a new function was proposed, and movable furniture suggestions within the scope of the needs of this function were visualized in three dimensions. Thanks to the interventions aimed at preserving the spatial and structural features of historical buildings, they can maintain their physical existence, however, when they are used, major damages that may occur in the future can be prevented or limited. In the re-functioning of historical buildings, the new function assigned to the building and the interior fittings developed for it affect the interventions and proposals developed for the protection of the buildings in terms of quality and quantity. Sustainability of the new functions proposed to historical buildings is important for the continuity of the building. Every new function proposal that changes over time causes new loads and new changes in the structure. In addition, the solutions to be implemented must be compatible and transformable, both to meet the needs of the new function and not to damage the cultural heritage.
