Mars’taki Yaşam Kurguları Üzerine Mekânsal Bir İnceleme

ÖZET İnsan düşünen, hisseden bir varlık olarak günlük yaşama dâhil olduğu andan itibaren, güvende hissedebileceği tanımlı bir hacim ihtiyacı duyarak, kendisini bir kabuk içine alma içgüdüsü ile barınaklar inşa etmiştir. Böylece insanın merkezi ve en özel alanı olarak savunduğu, aracılığıyla bir yere yerleştiği barınağı, ihtiyaçlar çerçevesinde gelişip zamanla daha kompleks bir mekân haline gelmiştir. Fiziksel boyutuyla konut, anlamsal boyutuyla ise ev olan bu mekânsal kurgu, bugün de gelecekte de günlük yaşantının eklemlendiği dinamik bir yapı olarak sürekli dönüşecektir ve bu çalışma kapsamında yaşam mekânı olarak ele alınmaktadır. Çalışmada, son yıllarda kurumların, vakıfların, özel şirketlerin, bilim insanlarının ve özellikle tasarımcıların yoğun şekilde çalıştığı ve farklı yaşam koşullarına yeni cevaplar oluşturmayı hedefleyen, yeni yerleşim önerileri sunan Dünya dışı yaşam bağlamında yeni yerleşim örnekleri sunan Mars örneklemi ele alınmıştır. Özellikle yarışmalar için geliştiren projeler üzerinden yerleşmenin bütünden iç mekâna yansıyan kurgusu ve tasarım prensipleri irdelenerek özgün mekân biçimlenişi ve iç mekân özellikleri analiz edilmiş, gelecek ve dolaylı olarak bugünün mekân tasarım yaklaşımlarına bir tasarım altyapısı oluşturması amaçlanmıştır. ABSTRACT As a thinking and feeling creature, human beings have needed a defined volume where they could feel safe and built shelters with the instinct of enclosing themselves in a shell since the moment when they entered into daily life. Thus, the shelter, which human beings defended as their center and most private space, and through which they settled somewhere, developed in accordance with their needs and became a more complex space over time. This spatial configuration, which is a house with its physical dimension and a home with its semantic dimension, will constantly transform as a dynamic structure in which daily life is articulated, and is discussed as a living space within the scope of this study. In the study, the sample of Mars, which has been studied intensively in recent years by institutions, foundations, private companies, scientists and especially designers and which aims to create new answers to different living conditions and provides settlement offers and settlement examples within the context of extraterrestrial life, was discussed. The settlement and design principles reflected from the whole to the interior space were examined especially through the projects developed for competitions, the original space formation and interior features were analyzed, and it was aimed to create a design infrastructure for the future and indirectly today's space design approaches.
