Yerli Turistin Kültürel Turizm Algısı: Diyarbakır Suriçi Örneği

ÖZET Dünya ve yerel ekonomide önemli bir paya sahip olan turizm sektörü, ülkemizde özellikle 80’li yıllardan sonra önemsenmeye başlamıştır. Tarihi ve kültürel değerlerin korunması, ulaşım ve çevre düzenlemelerinin yeterli düzeyde olması turizmi ve ekonomiyi olumlu yönde etkilemektedir. Yeterli ve doğru tanıtımın yapılması, konaklama tesislerinin yeterli sayıda ve nitelikte olması, ziyaret nedenlerinin ve memnuniyet durumunun belirlenerek çalışmaların yönlendirilmesi, alanın tur programları içinde yer alması turist sayısının artışında etkili olmaktadır. Türkiye tarihi ve kültürel alanlara sahip birçok yerleşime ev sahipliği yapmakta ve turizm hareketliliğini oldukça yoğun yaşamaktadır. Tarihi dokuya sahip Diyarbakır kenti de özellikli geleneksel alanı ve yapılarıyla önemli bir turistik potansiyeli barındırmaktadır. Tarihi çok eskilere dayanan Suriçi yerleşim alanın, turizm potansiyelini istenen düzeyde değerlendiremediği ve ülke/bölgenin kalkınmasına yeterince katkı sunamadığı düşünülmektedir Çalışmanın amacı, Diyarbakır/Suriçi bölgesine gelen yerli turistlerin, alanın tarihi ve kültürel potansiyeli ile ilgili bakış açılarını ve memnuniyet düzeylerini ortaya koymaktır. ABSTRACT The tourism sector, which has an important share in the world and local economy, has started to be considered especially after the 80s in our country. The preservation of historical and cultural values and the adequate level of transportation and environmental regulations affect tourism and economy positively. Making adequate and correct promotion, having sufficient number and quality of accommodation facilities, directing the studies by determining the reasons for visits and satisfaction, including the area in the tour programs are effective in the increase in the number of tourists. Turkey is home to many settlements with historical and cultural areas and is experiencing intense tourism activity. Diyarbakir, which has a historical texture, also has an important touristic potential with its traditional areas and structures. It is thought that the settlement area of Suriçi, whose history dates back to ancient times, cannot utilize its tourism potential at the desired level and cannot contribute enough to the development of the country/region. The aim of the study is to reveal the perspectives regarding the historical and cultural potential of the area and satisfaction levels of domestic tourists comes to Diyarbakır/ Suriçi region
